PORTAGE COMMUNITY BANK RECEIVES RECOGNITION FROM THE SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

In 2011, Portage Community Bank was again recognized as one of the top Small Business Administration (SBA) lenders in Northeast Ohio by Crain’s Cleveland Business. PCB is a preferred lender with the SBA. By participating in the Preferred Lender Program (PLP), the bank is able to dramatically increase the efficiency and expediency of the SBA lending process. PLP status is reserved for banks that show an exceptional performance record with the SBA with strong volume and low default rates. PLP status is the highest distinction that a bank can receive from the SBA.

PCB is committed to lending to local business owners; in many instances the bank will explore various lending programs through different areas of government. PCB has used the United States Department of Agriculture/Rural Development Loan Guaranty Program, the State of Ohio’s GrowNOW Linked Deposit Program, and various SBA programs as mentioned above.
