AN URGENT MESSAGE REGARDING SPOOFING CALLS TO CUSTOMERS

Portage Community Bank has been notified by some of our customers that they are receiving Spoofing Calls.   A spoofing Call is when someone other than an employee of Portage Community Bank initiates a call that appears to be from Portage Community Bank.

Caller ID Spoofing is the practice of causing the telephone network to indicate to the customer that the call originated from Portage Community Bank when it did not.

PLEASE NOTE: Portage Community Bank will NEVER initiate a call asking you for your account number, social security number or any personally identifiable information.  

If you receive a call in which Portage Community Bank's phone number is identified as the originator and the caller is requesting some personal information, we urge you to hang up and NOT provide any of your personal information to anyone over the phone.

If you receive a Spoofing phone call, plesae notify us by calling 330-296-8090 during business hours.
